NZQA investigates concerns

NZQA is investigating concerns that have been raised within the tertiary education sector relating to the application of English language tests.
NZQA is also aware of associated concerns, including the role of agents in conducting assessments and the capacity of providers. These concerns are also being investigated.
NZQA is taking these concerns seriously. Where instances of non-compliance are found NZQA will take action.
NZQA will use all quality assurance processes and powers it has available to ensure providers are complying with NZQA Rules.
NZQA will also work with other government agencies to ensure problems are identified as soon as possible.
Action may include placing conditions on a provider’s accreditations and/or the ability of a provider to carry out their own English language testing.
